International Networks
In pursuit of its international strategy and goals, the University of Melbourne is a member of two multilateral networks of higher education institutions: Universitas 21 (U21) and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU).

The University is also a member of the Group of Eight, a coalition of leading Australian universities, intensive in research and comprehensive in general and professional education. The Group of Eight collaborate on a range of strategic international initiatives, including the operation of a European Liaison Office in Germany.
