The International Committee is a sub-committee of the Planning and Budget Committee. It develops strategic and policy advice in the context of the University's desire to secure its position as a leading international university in the twenty-first century. The committee provides advice on the co-ordination of the University's international activities and monitors performance against its internationalisation targets

Terms of Reference
1. To provide advice to the Planning and Budget Committee on the development of the international elements of ‘Growing Esteem’ and the University’s Strategic and Operational Plans, and monitor the University’s performance in this area;
2. To review policy and provide strategic advice to the Planning and Budget Committee on international matters including –
- The development and implementation of an Internationalisation Plan,
- International developments and trends likely to impact upon the implementation of the University’s international programs and achievement of its international objectives
- The annual International Student and Fee Revenue Business Plan prepared by the Director International.
- The development and implementation of a series of country/region specific plans for academic, community and entrepreneurial engagement, and
- The establishment and cyclical review of bilateral and multilateral institutional agreements for academic cooperation and exchange.
3. To monitor the involvement of the University in international consortia including Universitas 21, and the Asia Pacific Rim Universities networks and to report to the Planning and Budget Committee on the development of those networks.
4. To develop and monitor research collaboration with international partners.
5. To advise the Planning and Budget Committee and the Academic Board and its committees on all proposals for the delivery of courses offshore.
6. To co-ordinate and monitor implementation of the University’s Internationalisation Plan, including whole-of-University international market research, marketing and recruitment strategies and to provide advice to the Senior Vice-Principal on international student fee levels and student load targets.

Meetings and Operations of the Committee
The Committee meets normally four times a year.
