Reception for International Visitors
The annual Reception for International Visitors is coordinated by the International Relations Office and jointly funded by Melbourne Research. In 2009 the reception was held on 25 August. This reception formally acknowledges the contribution made by international scholars and other visitors to the work and life of the University. It enables the University to obtain a snapshot of the distribution and geographic spread of visiting international scholars across the institution. By inviting local hosts to attend, the reception also recognises the important role played by University of Melbourne staff in hosting international scholars on campus.
